When we meet with potential customers, we often hear,"you’re the expert, what do you recommend?" While it’s true that we work hard to know our business, there is one thing we cannot do. We cannot dictate what should or shouldn’t make you feel safe. We are all individuals who have a different perception of what makes us feel safe. If you are considering having a home security system installed at your house, at a minimum, the system must protect every point of entry on the main floor of the house. This includes all doors and windows. The only alternative to this, is to place security contacts on all the main floor level doors and install a motion detector on the main floor. Beyond that, Odyssey Protection Systems, Inc. will not try to tell you what protection you need. Some homeowners are completely comfortable without any type of security system. Some homeowners are comfortable with the most basic system and yet other homeowners want to make sure they have the highest level of security installed in their home.
Now that you know what the basic system needs to cover, here are some common questions we ask homeowners:
- Do you want to have your basement protected
from intrusion? - Are you concerned about your sump pump failing?
- Do you worry about your pipes freezing?
- Is your house empty more than 8 hours per day?
- Does any adult in the house often travel?
